Workshop: „Nürnberger Präventionsnetzwerk gegen religiös begründete Radikalisierung“

The next meeting of the working group „Nürnberger Präventionsnetzwerks gegen religiös begründete Radikalisierung“ is scheduled for Thursday, 16 November, from 4pm to 7pm. Meeting point is the südpunkt in Nürnberg (Pillenreuther Str. 147). Anyone interested is cordially invited!

At 4.20pm, the executive director of EZIRE, Dr. Jörn Thielmann, will present the research project “Islam in Bavaria”. Afterwards, Dr. Mahmoud Jaraba, scientific researcher at EZIRE, will present his research on “Salafism and Radicalization in Bavaria”, which is a sub-project of “Islam in Bavaria”.

After a short break, the EZIRE team will join the World Café tables and answer the questions of the audience. The aim of the Worldcafé is to present the previous results of the working group and discuss possible priorities for 2018. Dr. Thielmann will speak about the way Muslims are treated in schools and public administrations and Dr. Jaraba will present further details on the topic of Salafism in Bavaria and Nuremberg. EZIRE-researcher Stephanie Müssig provides information on political attitudes and participation of migrants in Germany.
