Crimean Tatars in Past and Present
The interest in the history of the guest worker and their home countries is growing in Germany and Austria in recent years. Although there is a discussion with this topic in different German and Austrian Universities and cities, the complex history of the Turkic people and/or Muslims with an European interconnection are still hardly examined. Not least for this reason, the EZIRE aimed to show the reconstruction of the genesis of the Turkish-Tatarian Intelligence, their impact on religious-nationalistic intellectuals and nationalist movements in the Ottoman Empire, later on in Turkey and in the Turkish or Tatarian immigration society in Germany and Austria.
